DeHeng Lawyer Awarded As 2020 ALB China Top 15 TMT Lawyers

On April 20, 2020, Ian (Yinan) Wang, partner and head of the Technology Committee of DeHeng's Beijing office, was listed in Asian Legal Business 2020 China Top 15 TMT Lawyers (TMT abbreviation of "Technology, Media and Telecommunications"), in recognition of his outstanding legal expertise, performance and extensive client recognition.

Mr. Wang graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School with a Juris Doctor degree and is licensed to practice in both China and the New York State of the U.S. In addition to cross-border legal services, Mr. Wang has extensive experience in many TMT areas including fintech, cybersecurity, data protection and e-commerce.

Since 2016, Mr. Wang has been representing regulatory authorities in conducting compliance investigations on more than 100 fintech companies, and provided practical advice on legislations in this area. In respect of cybersecurity and data protection, Mr. Wang advised on the department under the Cyberspace Administration of China - the National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT or CNCERT/CC) on the legislative aspects of data protections and cross-border data transfers. He is also engaged as the data protection expert by the National Engineering Laboratory of Cybersecurity Emergency Response Technology (NELCERT). In 2019, Mr. Wang and his team advised on compliance program of China Mobile Limited 11 e-commerce platforms, one of the first legal compliance projects in this area since the promulgation of the Chinese E-commerce Law. Mr. Wang's TMT clients also include JDD, the fintech platform of Qihoo 360, Baidu, Shenhua Information Company, and Lunar Exploration and Aerospace Engineering Center under China National Space Administration.
