DeHeng Advised CEXIM on the Financing of Two A380-800 Airliners

DeHeng recently advised Export-Import Bank of China (CEXIM) in a successfully aviation financing project with Minsheng FinancialFinancial Leasing Co As CEXIM's Chinese legal counsel, Deheng worked in association with the client’s UK counsel Ince & Co., assisted the client to achieve the whole process of contract negotiation, documents drafting & execution, loan releasing in a short period of time.

In this transaction, two SPVs of Minsheng Financial Leasing borrowed from the client to finance the acquisition of two aircrafts planned to be leased to Asiana Airlines. Minsheng Financial Leasing, the PRC parent company of the SPVs, provided credit enhancement support under PRC law by signing relevant documents.

This is the first major CEXIM-backed financing for aircraft leased to an Asia-Pacific based airline, symbolizing CEXIM's new role as an important fund provider of international aviation financing, as well as the further diversification of the aviation financing market in Asia and globally.

DeHeng team for this project includes partner Zhang Xu and two counsels Shen Sisi and Feng Chen, all from DeHeng's headquarter office in Beijing.
