In order to build the Manang Marsyangdi Hydroelectric Project in Nepal, the first "One Belt One Road Initiative" project in Nepal by Sichuan Province, Sichuan Provincial Investment Group Co., Ltd., Chengdu Better City Investment Group Co., Ltd., and Sichuan QYEC Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd. formed a joint venture in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, with the Nepalese company Butwal Power Company (BPC) on November 22.

The three Chinese companies and BPC will first jointly build the 100-megawatt Manang Marsyangdi Hydroelectric Project in the high Himalayas in West Nepal. It is expected that a hydropower project of at least 1,000 megawatts will be built in Nepal in the next five years and other hydropower business cooperative companies will subsequently be set up one after another. This is the first step toward a long-term partnership among all parties.

DeHeng Chengdu Office formed a project team primarily including attorneys Wu Yuhong, Huang Yong and Yan Li, to provide professional and comprehensive legal services for the Manang Marsyangdi Hydroelectric Project in Nepal. In the future, DeHeng Chengdu will extend its expertise in the new platform of cooperation in the energy field and serve as the Belt and Road Initiative's strategic forerunner to provide more comprehensive and high-quality legal services to customers both at home and abroad.
