Establish Sino-French Joint Venture

DeHeng recently provided a full range of legal services for the Sino-French joint venture of New Hope Liuhe Co., Ltd. (hereinafter New Hope Liuhe) by assisting the establishment of the joint venture and completing the signing of relevant legal instruments. The joint venture is a concrete embodiment of the strategic cooperation agreement between New Hope Liuhe and a French group at the China-France Business Forum held in July 2015 in the presence of Premier Li Keqiang of the State Council of China.
New Hope Liuhe (stock code: 000876), founded in 1998 and listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange on March 11, 1998, is oriented to agriculture and animal husbandry sectors, with its focus on steady development. The businesses cover feed, culture, meat products as well as financial investment, commerce and trade. New Hope Liuhe has operation in China and nearly 20 foreign countries including Vietnam, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, and Egypt etc. New Hope Liuhe was awarded such titles as National Key Leading Enterprise for Agricultural Industrialization, National Enterprise for Food Safety, China's Top Ten Enterprises of the Times for Animal Husbandry and Feed Industry, National Top Ten Feed Enterprises, Entity Credit Rating AAA, China's Meat Food Safety Credit System Construction Demonstration Enterprise, and Forbes Global 2000 in 2017. It is the designated supplier of poultry meat for Qingdao SCO summit 2018.
As the legal counsel for the Chinese party of New Hope Liuhe's Sino-French joint venture, DeHeng set up a project team headed by partner Jia Hui, supported by lawyers Wu Jia, Gao Ya, and Deng Yizhou. The team assisted New Hope Liuhe in drafting and negotiating legal instruments related to the establishment and operations of the joint venture, and in the commercial registration of the joint venture and filing procedures for foreign investment.
