DeHeng Advised SMIC on Obtaining Approval
for Listing on SSE STAR Market

On June 19, 2020, the application of Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation ("SMIC", SEHK: 0981) for listing on the STAR Market of Shanghai Stock Exchange was reviewed and approved by the 2020 47th meeting of the STAR Market Stock Listing Committee.
SMIC is one of the leading integrated circuit wafer foundry enterprises in the world, and the largest specialized wafer foundry enterprise with the most advanced technology, the most complete supporting services and international operation in Chinese mainland. It mainly provides clients with foundry and supporting services on integrated circuit wafer with various technology nodes from 0.35 micron to 14 nanometers and on different process platforms.
As a red-chip enterprise registered in the Cayman Islands and listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, SMIC will become the first overseas-listed red-chip enterprise to return to A-share market after its "STAR" listing.
